What Are Cigarette Flavour Poppers and How Do They Work?

Cigarette flavour poppers, also referred to as cigarette flavour capsules, flavour balls, or crush balls, are small, liquid-filled capsules designed to add flavour to cigarettes on demand. They have become increasingly popular in Australia as smokers look for ways to customise taste without switching cigarette brands.

Unlike pre-flavoured cigarettes, flavour poppers give the smoker full control. You decide if, when, and how strongly the flavour is released.

How cigarette flavour poppers work

A flavour popper is inserted into the cigarette filter. Inside the capsule is a flavoured liquid sealed within a soft, crushable shell. When pressure is applied—usually by squeezing the filter—the capsule bursts, releasing flavour into the airflow of the cigarette.

As smoke passes through the filter, it absorbs the flavour, creating a smoother or more refreshing taste.

Why smokers use cigarette poppers

  • Add menthol, mint, or fruit flavour to regular cigarettes

  • Control flavour timing (before lighting or mid-smoke)

  • Avoid committing to a permanently flavoured cigarette

All Star Poppers are designed for clean activation, strong flavour release, and compatibility with most standard cigarettes sold in Australia.
